Jacob's hand was shaking. Without any sense of sadness, more a peaceful acceptance, he thrust his gun into the side of his head, finger on the trigger. Two years earlier, Jacob had been happily married, with two children, expecting a third. After tucking his kids in, exhausted, he went to bed. His wife joined him shortly after. No one noticed the eerie shadow on his windowsill, and they peacefully went to sleep. Several hours later, he woke up, and was about to stand up when he noticed a red stain on the bed sheets.
